From the Indian Navy to Behind the Camera

A Business Family, and Jobs That Never Fit

I'm Sumit Sharma, originally from Rajasthan, and I grew up in a family of business people. Running something of your own was simply in the blood, even before I knew what that "something" would be.

In 2018 I was selected for the Indian Navy. On paper it was the safe, respectable path. But I'd already started to realise something about myself: I never found real joy in doing a job, any job. So I kept trying different things.

One of them brought me to Gurgaon, working customer-care jobs at Teleperformance and Concentrix. Long shifts, scripted calls, and a mind that was anything but clear. I stayed because I had to, not because I wanted to.

2019: Picking Up a Camera

In 2019 I left all of it behind and started making videos, just for myself. No clients, no plan, just the camera and the process. And for the first time, I genuinely enjoyed the work. Every edit taught me something; every shoot made me want the next one.

For three to four months I shot only for myself. Then friends started asking for help, and those turned into my first small paid gigs. That's when it clicked: I finally had a service I believed in enough to sell.

Indian Navy to Behind the Camera

So I went after it the hard way: cold messages, cold calls, and walking into offices with nothing but my work and a pitch. A lot of doors stayed shut. Then one opened. My first corporate client was Swiss Military India, and after that I never looked back.
